Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to get some advice on a shower maintenance issue.
My bathroom is around 25–30 years old and I believe it’s still in its original condition.
Recently I noticed a gap between the floor tile and the wall tile in the shower, and water seems to get trapped in there instead of evaporating. As a result, mould has started to grow. Here’s a photo of the gap:

From what I understand, the wall–floor junction should normally be filled. It looks like whatever was there before has deteriorated over time and disappeared.
Before this gets worse or leads to bigger waterproofing issues, I’d like to clean it up and reseal the joint. Could you please confirm whether this is a DIY-friendly job, and what are the steps and what product should I use?
