How to fix leaking basin mixer tap?

Hi Friends.

There is water leaking for the bathroom tap. Anyone knows how to open and fix the water leaking from this kind of tap? Thanks in advanced.

Re: How to fix water leaking from this kind of tap?

Hello @hubert2099

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your tapware.

Can you please tell us how old your basin tapware is? If the tap is too old, it might not have spare parts available for it anymore. Technically it would be more practical to replace the entire unit with a new basin tap.

However, if you are still keen to take it apart, I suggest looking for a grub screw hole on the handles. If there are none, its possible that the handles are push to fit. See if you can pull the handles off. It's highly probable that you have ceramic disc spindles. Once the handles are off, you'll have a better idea what size the spindles are. You'll then need to remove them and find suitable replacements.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
