Re: How to fix leaking bathroom sink?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @mehmet. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about a sink leak.

It sounds like either the plug waste or the pipe connecting to it is leaking. If it is the plug waste, then it probably needs its seal replaced, or if it is the connection to the pipe, then also a seal needs to be replaced.

In accordance with the Australian Plumbing Code, only licensed plumbers are authorised to undertake plumbing or drainage work. While homeowners can handle minor tasks like changing a tap washer or replacing a shower head, this would fall outside that area and you'll need to enlist the services of a plumber for the repair.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell

Re: How to fix leaking bathroom sink?

Thank you for all your help it turns out the rubber seal was indeed worn and after help from a very helpful senior Bunnings staff member (wish we looked at his name badge to commend him properly) we purchased new seals from Bunnings.  After changing seal it is now in perfect working order with no glue  or silicone needed whatsoever. Much appreciated Thank you Bunnings.
