Every time someone has a shower, a lot of water gets onto the floor immediately outside the shower. How do we fix this?
Hi @Heather_,
There are normally two likely reasons why water is exiting your shower recess. The first is that it’s escaping through the door because the door seals aren’t adequate for preventing water from leaking out through the gaps in the shower frame. The second reason is that water is seeping out underneath the shower frame itself.
To determine the cause, it’s best to do a quick test by running the shower and observing closely where the water first appears outside the recess. If it’s escaping through the door, it may be as simple as replacing the door seals with new ones that better contain the water inside the shower. However, if the water is coming from underneath the shower frame, it’s likely that the silicone along the inside bottom edge, where the tiles meet the shower frame, has deteriorated or lifted. In that case, you’ll need to remove the old silicone and reapply a fresh, continuous bead of new wet area silicone to reseal the joint. Ensuring these seals are watertight is typically the most effective way to stop water from escaping from your shower screen.
Here's a helpful guide: How to apply silicone sealant.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks; we've adjusted the seals and haven't had anymore problems.
That's great to hear, @Heather_. Many thanks for updating us.
