Re: washing machine leaking water

Hi @humbleguy,

Could you clarify which hose connection is leaking? Is it one of the two inlet hoses (hot or cold) or the outlet/waste hose?

From your description, it sounds more likely to be a loose connection rather than a siphoning issue. The first step would be to check and tighten the hose clamps on the outlet/waste hose, as this can often resolve leaks in that area. It’s also worth checking for any blockage in the sink waste where the hose connects, as back pressure could cause water to leak at that connector.

If tightening doesn’t fix it, the next steps would be to replace the hose clamp or the hose itself if it’s worn or deteriorated.

If you can show us where the water is coming from, that would allow us to give more targeted advice.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
