is this a water/humidity issue?
Hello @jambalaya
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your door frame.
It appears to be early surface rust, I suggest sanding the surface to remove the rust spot and using White Knight 0.125L Rust Guard Rust Converter over the surface. Follow application instructions before cleaning surface. I then suggest using White Knight 300g Rust Guard Quick Dry All Purpose Primer Spray Paint - White to prime the surface and then use White Knight 310g White Gloss Rust Guard Epoxy Enamel Spray Paint as top coat. Please make sure to give the primer time to fully cure before you put on the top coat.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hey Eric,
Should I cover the surrounding areas before I apply the coats?
Cheers
Dharshan
Hi @jambalaya,
It would be best to cover the surrounding areas.
You can use a combination of painter's tape and masking paper or drop sheets to cover any other areas.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
