How to fix sagging shower door?

My shower door doesn't close, I've seen people show how to fix by adjusting the hindge to lift the door back up. Except mine is not your typical hindge and no obvious Phillips head screw that I can loosen to move. Appears like a specific tool or is that riveted?

Re: how to fix sagging shower door

Hello @j0wie

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your shower door.

Just a friendly reminder that working with glass is dangerous. An accidental hit with a tool or when too much force is applied could shatter the glass and cause injury. Please make sure to wear personal protection such as gloves, goggles and a mask when working with glass.

Generally speaking, yes, shower door hinges will sometimes have screws in order for you to adjust its position. However, in your case the hinges are riveted to prevent movement. This leaves me to believe that something else is amiss. It's possible that your shower frame is leaning to one side and is no longer square. In the interest of health and safety, I suggest engaging the services of a shower installer and having them inspect the current state of your frame. They should be able to determine if the frame is loose or if something else is causing the door to go out of balance.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric

Re: how to fix sagging shower door

Thank you Eric. I can finally stop focusing on the door hinge. Will get someone to look into the alignment of the frame instead.
