Hey - I have the rim of the bathroom walls where some new tiles have been laid . But there is 1-3cm of the rough old underlay, some come out some in , villa board etc.
what’s the best way to clean this up - put a lil on it? A metal rail or wood trim but it w have to be 3cm thick
Or can I sand it and put gyprock multi compound or spatik filler on it?
thx
Hi @tsne5872,
Thank you for your question.
I can't tell for certain if this is inside the shower enclosure or outside of it, but I believe it is outside of the shower.
If it is outside of the shower area, then you are fine to put a skim coat of plaster topping compound over the untidy section, give it a sand, then apply a bead of No More Gaps to the top edge of the tiles before priming and painting.
This will give you a nice, neat finish that will round off the new tiles well.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
