Re: How to fix toilet bowl water leak?

Hello @KC2

Thanks for sharing your question about fixing your toilet bowl water leak.

There are two common causes for water to leak into the bowl. First is the filling valve might have a broken water seal thereby overfilling the tank and causing it to leak into the bowl. The second is the rubber flushing valve might have deteriorated causing water to pass by and drip into the bowl.

If this was an ordinary exposed cistern it would not be too difficult to repair, however an inwall cistern is a bit more involved. I suggest engaging the services of a registered plumber to repair your leak. An inwall cistern has more parts and if it is not reassembled correctly will cause the cistern not to work.

Just in case you are curios, I suggest having a look at this guide - How to fix a leaking toilet.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
