How to fix water damage from degraded grout?

Hello, while trying to restore grout in the shower, I've noticed the grout has degraded and which seems to have caused water damage on the outside edge of the shower cubicle. What would be the best way to rectify this other or re- grouting would suffice?

Re: Bathroom Grouting and Water Damage

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, @Joe_P. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about grouting.

Re-grouting the tiles is definitely something you should do asit will help prevent further water ingress. Here's a helpful guide: How to grout tiles.

For the longer crack on the wall, I’d suggest using silicone instead of grout. It looks like that area might have a bit of movement, and if you were to use standard grout there, it could crack again. A white wet-area silicone will give you the flexibility you need while still waterproofing the area, making it a more durable solution than cement-based fillers.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
