I have an old toilet that needs replacing, the annoying kind where dust gathers behind it. I would like to install a caroma luna clean flush (pictured) or similar shape. Problem is the tap location. From measurements, the luna would cover the tap. Are there any options to re route the tap or somehow so I can have this toilet but still access the tap in case of emergency? Or can I just cover the tap and shut off water to the house if any issues? Will use a plumber but want to understand options first. I see the luna has a uni orbital connector which seems easier to make it work.
Hello @katie4
Your analysis of the installation is spot on. Because you've chosen the Caroma Luna Cleanflush Toilet Suite WELS 4 Star 4.5L/Full the tap cistern will need to be moved to the top at the back of the cistern. The plumber will cut into the wall and run a copper line from the present location of your cistern tap and turn and run it upwards so that it ends up at the back of the cistern. This is something you'll need to be prepared for budget wise. But other than that, the installation will follow standard procedure.
I also recommend checking out the stores Toilet Installation Service to save you time in searching for a professional installer.
