Evening all,
We recently bought a bidet from Bunnings and in our apartment the water hose/tap is actually located inside the tank.
How hard is it to hook up and get it all working?
It's not an electronic bidet so there's no power anywhere, just water.
Hello @stevedoingfixes
Thank you for sharing your question about installing a bidet hose. I suggest having a look at this discussion - How to install bidet on close-coupled toilet with a concealed cistern lid by @sau1. The discussion gives you a general description of how a bidet can be connected and why a plumber must be involved so that it is safely installed. Drilling through the ceramic cistern is dangerous and if done incorrectly can crack or damage the cistern. Appropriate pressure reducing valves must be installed in order for the bidet to work effectively otherwise the mains pressure from the tap will compromise the seals of the bidet.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1, @Nailbag and @AlanM52 for their recommendations.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi @stevedoingfixes,
Personally... if something needs fixing I have a almost uncontrollable desire to - FIX IT.
However... where there are rules and regulations we should abide by them and as @EricL mentioned you will need a plumber to hook up the bidet.
Cheers
as this legally needs to be performed by a licensed plumber I'm unable to provide advise sorry.
