Best way of Installing a Bunnings flat 450x750mm mirror on a tiled wall?
Thanks for that @ALLSPORTTROPHIE.
In the mirror installation instructions, you'll find specific details on where to apply the adhesive and where to apply the double-sided tape, which is also required. The adhesive is run on the outer edges, where there is no vinyl backing, and double-sided tape is run on the inner vinyl-covered section.
The instructions for the mirror specifically call for the Selleys 310g Liquid Nails Mirror, Metal & Glass Adhesive.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @ALLSPORTTROPHIE. It's sensational to have you join us and many thanks for your question on mounting mirrors.
I’m having a little difficulty finding a mirror under that description. Could you please link us to the exact product?
Generally, flat mirrors are fixed to tiled walls using an adhesive, such as Selleys 310g Liquid Nails Mirror, Metal & Glass Adhesive. Just make sure the tiles are clean and free from any soap scum before applying the adhesive so it sticks properly. Here are the application instructions:Cut cartridge, fit nozzle and cut to size (approximately 5mm).Apply using caulking gun.
Application for Mirrors1. For mirrors up to 6mm thick, apply strips/beads of adhesiveapproximately 8cm apart. Do not apply adhesive as‘blobs/dollops’, or over vinyl backing, or within 5 cm ofmirrors edge as this may affect product performance orcause discolouration.
2. When mirror is pressed onto the wall, strips of adhesive mustnot spread into, or touch one another. A gap must remainbetween them.
3. Immediately after applying adhesive, place mirror againstwall before adhesive skins (within 5 minutes).
4. Support mirror with clips or tape until adhesive developsstrength (normally 72 hours).
5. Do not seal around the edges of the mirror for at least aweek to allow air circulation.
6. Mirrors should not be fixed directly to unpainted timber, plaster, concrete or brick walls. These surfaces should bepainted to prevent potential damage to mirrors.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Hi Mitchell
Thank you for the great detailed instructions - i was looking at just using Silastic.
mirror info below. Also it says on the back it is vinyl backed. Is this still okay to use the Selleys product ??
Thank you Mitchell.
I hadn't unpacked the glass or seen the instructions - it's a job for my Mother-in-law she bought the Mirror glass on the weekend
So I have to get the job done right lol.
