How to join Villaboard in bathroom?

I’m just fixing my bathroom up the top villaboard is 9mm can and do I join it with 6mm villaboard

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about villaboard.

I recommend using the same thickness that is currently on your wall. It would be more labour intensive to try and level the 6mm sheet with your existing 9mm wall sheet. Having the same thickness means that there will be no need for back fillers or to adjust the joint of the panels. If the panels are at the same thickness ordinary villaboard patching methods will suffice.
