I’m wanting information on painting my shower base..what products are available..does it need a primer first …any advice welcome.. I think the base is ceramic and pretty good condition

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @micsuhan. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about painting a shower tray.
The only really option for painting is if it is a metal tray with a vitreous enamel coating on it. You can test this with a magnet. If it sticks, then you can use White Knight 500ml White Tub and Basin Paint on it. However, if it doesn't, then it is likely some type of poly-marble, and this coating will not adhere.
No primer is required, but the painted surface must be scuffed up with sandpaper. Full directions are on the packaging.
