How to paint a plastic shower base?

Hello I have an old shower that I have just repaired due to cracks. I went to my local Bunnings store and advised that due to the base being plastic any paint would just peel off. Wondering if there is any other options or do I need to go and buy a whole new shower? Have uploaded the shower for reference.

Thanks for sharing your question about your shower tray. If you were to have your tray professionally resprayed the cost would probably be the same as getting a new shower and having it installed. Between the two options, I propose getting a new shower as you will have peace of mind that the shower and tray will not give way or leak as it is brand new. A repaired tray however will always be in danger of giving way as the repair is unpredictable and can't be guaranteed.
