Hi I would like to paint my bathroom cabinet. I feel the Dulux renovation range is quite expensive for my budget. Does Bunnings have another brand of paint I could use instead please? thanks
Hello @kelbie
Thanks for sharing your question about painting your cabinet. One alternative you can use is the Dulux 1L PRECISION White Maximum Strength Adhesion Primer in combination with Dulux 1L Aquanamel Semi Gloss White Enamel Paint. But it is very important that the surface of the cabinet be sanded thoroughly so that it provides a good base for the primer. Aquanamel of course is a robust top coat as it can be used on doors and window trims.
There is also the White Knight 1L Renew Tile And Laminate Primer Paint in conjunction with the White Knight 1L White Satin Renew Tile And Laminate Paint. These are the only laminate paint systems I'm currently aware of other then the Renovation range.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Hi what type/number of sandpaper should I use please?
the bottom of the doors are chipped, is there anything I can use to repair them?
Hi @kelbie,
I'd suggest using a fairly fine-grit sandpaper, such as 400-grit sandpaper, to prepare the surface. Remember, you are not trying to remove the laminate, just scuff the surface up so the primer will better adhere to it.
Where the doors are chipped, sand the edge of the chipped laminate and then use a filler such as UNi-PRO Multi Purpose Interior Filler to fill the chipped sections so they are flush with the surface of the laminate. Once sanded and painted, they will be blend in nicely.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
