Hi. I am looking at using this vanity benchop in my bathroom- Mondella Rococo 750mm Meranti Vanity Top.
It indicates it is wood veneer.
I will use an inset basin with it.
I am keen to know what treatment is required for longevity (if any) as there is not much info on this in the details online.
Many thanks
Hello @DIYLady84
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your vanity top.
I recommend sealing the entire vanity top with a sealer such as the Cabot's 1L Satin Clear Benchtop Timber Finish or with a stain and varnish such as Cabot's 1L Jarrah Stain Water Based Stain And Varnish. The stain and varnish come in several stain colours, I suggest visiting your local store and having a look at the stain and varnish sample board to give you an idea of what the stain colours look like.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How To Restore Furniture (some of the steps are applicable to your project)
My best advice is to make sure that every part of the vanity top be painted to completely seal it.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
