How to remove bathroom sink with pliers?

Hello the drain of my bathroom sink is clogged.

Tried all the possible house remedies & gel products with no success.

My next step is to open the u shape pipe to see if I can clean it up.

What's the right water pump plier size? I have a standard sink. I saw there are adjustable types but I'm aiming at the cheapest option.

Thanks!!

Re: Water Pump Plier

Hi @ventodimare

I suggest using Craftright 250mm Multigrip Pliers. It should be adequate to grip on to the Caroma 50mm White Combination S And P Traps With Dishwasher Connection under your sink. My number one tip for this D.I.Y. repair job is to put an old towel and a plastic basin under the trap while taking them apart. Any water coming out of the trap will be caught by the basin and you won't have to do a lot of extensive cleaning under the sink.

While you have the trap disassembled now would be a good time to do a bit of maintenance by putting in some fresh Kinetic 38 and 50mm Trap Pack Washers. This will keep your sink trap in tip-top shape and prevent leaks from happening.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
