I have tried so many products as well as vinegar but now think scale is between layered glass in shower. How can I fix this? It looks dreadful. Regards Elaine

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Craigie. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about shower glass.
This is actually a very common and long-standing issue, and unfortunately, there’s no reliable fix once scale gets between layered or laminated shower glass. The gap between the panels is microscopic, so cleaning products typically can’t reach inside. Once scale, or occasionally mould, penetrates, it’s virtually impossible to remove. In some cases, what you’re seeing might also be a deterioration of the bond between the panels.
A practical solution is to apply window frosting or a similar opaque film to the exterior of the shower screen. This will obscure the look and give the shower a fresh, clean appearance without needing to dismantle the glass. Alternatively, you might look at replacing the shower screen.
Be exceptionally careful when working around shower screens as they can shatter easily. Wear PPE including safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, a long-sleeved shirt, trousers and enclosed footwear.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
