Hi team,
So long story short I have a leak with my flexihoses - I am after some advice on how to remove the tap to replace the flexihoses - I have an assortment of tools but really have no clue how to take it off.
Any help would be great 😊
Hi @Grant-noclue,
Removing the tap is usually relatively easy, it is contorting yourself into the space to gain access to the fixings that can be a pain.
You need to remove this nut here.

The bolt that it goes over, runs up through the basin into the bottom of the tap, locking it in place.
Start by ensuring you turn off the isolation valves so there is no water running through these hoses.
Now the water source has been turned off, the Installation Guide for the Mondella WELS 4 Star 7.5L/min 35mm Chrome Cadenza Lever Kitchen Sink Mixer will show you how a similar mixer tap is installed. Reversing these directions will allow you to remove one.
You can use a Haron Mixer Tap Spanner Kit to remove the fixing nut, which will allow you to remove the fixing plate and pull the tap up to disconnect the hoses, which can then drop back down through the mounting hole to be removed and replaced.
You would then simply reverse this process to reinstall the tap with its new hoses.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
