I would like to remove the top half of this laundry cabinet. Ive looked for screws around the interior and inside the tubs draws, but can't locate any. Will I have to chop this out? I have a multi tool for the job, but would rather not do that. I'd like to uninstall it, with minimal damage.
Hello @V001
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your laundry cabinets.
There are some points where your cabinet may have been anchored onto. My first suggestion is to uninstall your washing machine from the cabinetry. I suspect that the cabinet was pushed in and then it was anchored or screwed into the wall. Remove all the contents of the cabinet. If you look inside, you should see some screws at the very back of the cabinet. Please note that it could be covered with cover caps rendering them invisible so keep an eye out for that.
Another area you should look at are the sides of the cabinet. The cabinet could have been screwed onto the cabinet next to it to provide extra strength. Make sure to look into that as well. I propose looking at the inside panels of the cabinet as most laundry and kitchen cabinets are secured in this manner.
In the interest of health and safety, please make sure to have an extra set of hands when you pull the cabinets out. They will have significant weight to them and its best to move them with help at hand.
