I have watched so many videos, but can’t seem to find one that is similar to mine. There doesn’t appear to be any buttons. It doesn’t seem to pop off by simply pulling it. The silver knobs don’t appear to be caps that pop off. The rectangle bolt underneath the toilet seat is very hard to turn, it does turn but doesn’t seem to loosen.
Any ideas? Thanks so much
Hello @Ellen4
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your toilet seat.
On your third picture you will see that at the back of the silver cap is a cap cover above it. This cap cover is I suspect the access point of the hinge screw of your toilet seat. I suggest getting a Craftright 6 Piece Insulated VDE Screwdriver set. I recommend using the smallest flathead screwdriver in the set and using that to pop-off the cover cap. It might be necessary to use brute force to remove the cover, but once the cover is off, you'll see the screw, and you can remove it and replace the seat with a new one.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
