Hi,
I‘m about to renovate my laundry.
At first I wanted to keep the old tiles, but know I want to remove them.
How can I remove the tiles without needing to change the whole wall?
Or do I need to replace the plaster boards in this area?
Thank you
Kindly
Rita
Hello @RJunimann (Rita)
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your wall tiles.
I suggest using a Craftright 380mm Wrecking Bar to lift the tiles off your wall. I'm sorry, but I can't make any promises that your tiles or your wall will not get damaged. The thing that will damage your wall will be the tile adhesive which is anchored to your plaster wall. If you are careful enough you can minimize the damage to the plaster wall as you lift the tile off. The good news is that if you manage to keep the damage to a minimum the wall can be plastered and repaired, allowing you to tile over it without having to replace the plaster panel.

Hi Eric,
hope you are well.
Finally we have finished the laundry.
My husband ripped out the tiles without too much damage to the wall. (see photo)
Then he put those tiles on. I wanted it this way just where the sink is, but I think I will put it across the wall…The original splash back I planned to put up, looked cheap and bad quality…
Here is one pic without tiles and one of the finished project 🙏🏻
thank you so much for your help.
Have a great day.

Nice work @RJunimann.
Your laundry looks great, but I think extending the tiles out a bit further will give it a more complete look.
Regardless, it is a fantastic look, and you should be very proud of what you've accomplished.
