Hi all,
I'm after some info on how I could potentially fix this installation issue with our bathroom window. If you look closely there seems to ne a gap that's missing or not in place between the glass and outer window. Is it ok to just silicone it or cover it up? It's definitely quite chilly and seems to build up quite a bit of moisture. Any advice is appreciated!
Cheers!
Hi @JayBee05,
You can use black Sikaflex 11 FC for this gap. It’s the same product used for bedding windows and is similar to the window gasket, making it more suitable for filling this area than a standard silicone. Make sure to clean the area well before applying the Sikaflex to ensure a proper seal.
Remember to take care when working around glass as it can shatter easily. Wear safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, a long-sleeved shirt, trousers and enclosed footwear.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
Many thanks as always MitchellMc.
I will try SikaFlex!
