How to replace 3 in 1 fan?

OUR HPN DUCTED INSTANT HEAT 3 IN 1 4 LAMPS IS 7 YEARS OLD AND IS MAKING A VERY LOUD NOISE LIKE THE FAN BLADES ARE TOUCHING SOMETHING, BUT WE DON’T SEE ANYTHING.

FOR WHAT I HAVE SEEN ON FORUMS HPN IT’S NOT THE BEST.

WHAT WILL BE THE BEST UNIT TO REPLACE IT WITH ?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about 3 in 1 fan/heat lamps.

The store carries other brands such as IXL, Martec, Manrose, Click and of course HPM. I often suggest to customers to have a look at the star rating of the product they would like to use. Quite often the people who buy the products often leave their views in regards to the performance of the product. For example, the IXL Tastic Mirage 3 In 1 Bathroom Heater Exhaust Fan And Motion Sensor LED has 21 five-star ratings, a very good approval rating of the product.

Would it be possible for you to post a photo of your 3 in 1 so that we can get an idea of how big it is. We can then make recommendations on which unit might work for you.

thank you for your response; I have uploaded some photos I had taken.

the model is the one there but ours it’s ducted.

I’m concerned about the size of the other brands compared to to this one regarding the opening in the ceiling.

I have listed below the 3 in 1's with 4 heat lamps, but it appears that your HPM set is just a tad too big and most of the sets I've listed are just a bit smaller. Your installer will either have to patch the cut out in order for the new unit to fit or make a new cut out in another location and cover up the old one.

Some of these units are on display in the electrical section of the store, I strongly suggest visiting your local store so that you can see for yourself what they look like. In regards to the fan noise, I suggest leaving it to your electrician to investigate as they can safely open the unit up and find out if the unit needs replacing.
