I'd like to replace an old Fowler cistern with the Estilo wide body cistern, as it's the closest fit to the gap in the dado rail. However, the existing flush pipe is 400mm diameter while the Estilo is designed for a 500mm pipe. How would I go about making this cistern work with this toilet?
Hi @sigi,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Replacing a cistern would be considered plumbing work, and it is best to enlist the help of a licensed plumber to perform it to ensure everything is done to the correct standard and there is no risk of leaks.
You'd have to confirm with a professional, but a plumber might use something like this Holman 50 x 40mm PVC DWV Taper Level Invert to adapt the pipe so it can connect at both ends.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
Thanks for the advice, I'll check with a plumber
