How to replace a plug-style drain with a pop up?

Hiya. Doing a reno on my bathroom vanity and wondering if I can replace the standard drain with plug with a popup style drain? I'm thinking yes but also wondering if this is something I can 'have-a-crack' at (some videos show it's not difficult)

Thanks

Re: How to replace a plug-style drain with a pop up?

Hi @DIYHaveaCrack,

A standard drain can be replaced with the pop-up style, and it's not a particularly difficult job. However, it is considered plumbing work and requires a licensed plumber to complete the job.

Is this on a bath or a basin? Baths can be troublesome if access beneath them is not available.

It's the basin Mitchell. Thanks.
