How to replace a toilet seat?

Hi, I got a broken toilet seat. Does anyone know how to lift it? There is no button.
What tool should I buy?
And also, what kind of toilet seat should I buy to replace it? Thanks

Re: How to replace a toilet seats

Hello @KevinPlant

Your seat might have a hidden release. I've placed an image below with yellow circles indicating where the release might be. I suggest pushing the small rectangular buttons with a flathead screwdriver while pulling the seat upwards at the same time.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: How to replace a toilet seats

Hi @EricL, Thanks for the reply, and we have removed the toilet seat now. How to buy a replacement one from Bunnings. Which product would you recommend? Cheers

Re: How to replace a toilet seats

Great to hear you’ve got the old seat off @KevinPlant. The easiest way to find a replacement is to take the seat you’ve removed into your nearest Bunnings store. Most toilet seats are designed to be a direct swap, but bringing yours along will make it easier to choose one that matches the size and shape closely, so you get a good fit. Please let me know if you have any questions.
