How to replace hot water heater in internal cupboard?

I want to replace a hot water heater that's in an internal cupboard. I'm wondering if there's a recommended space that needs to be clear of the tank in the cupboard . The diameter of the tank is 490mm less the thermostat plate ( still waiting for details from manufacturer Dux ) and the cupboard has an internal with of 56.5 cm.

Thanks for posting the size of your cabinet and hot water cylinder. The good news is that the Dux Proflo 25L 2.4kW Electric Storage Water Heater Plug In is very close to the size that you have even with the thermostat plate. I've placed the technical specifications below.
