Hi, I'm attempting to remove an old shower arm and replace it with a dual shower head/hose combination and have run into a couple bumps. Has anyone here done a replacement like this before?
First, the instructions seem to indicate that I need to first remove that brass connector from inside the diverter (see first photo), but it doesn't want to budge. I've removed the two small screws that are meant to be holding it in place already. Is it supposed to just pop out? Unscrew? How do you remove this?
Second, does anyone have any tips for how to remove the old shower arm(see second photo)? It is very stuck, and I haven't been able to get enough grip to actually start turning it. So far the normal adjustable wrench I have hasn't been much help (it just slides around). Is there a better tool for this?
