How to replace seals on inner edge of shower doors?

I have the shower below featured in the attached photographs. There is no name or make written on the shower unit. When you shower, water sprays out through the middle. It looks as though the silicon that used to be there was removed. I’m hoping you guys would have some idea how I can replace the silicon. It’s still on the outer edges and works well there. It does look as though there are grooves in the inside edges to slide some rubber into.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your shower.

I've had a bit of search in regards to your shower type and I could not locate anything similar. However, I did notice that the edge of the doors have channels in it. I propose measuring its width and the open space depth between the doors. It might be possible to retrofit a rubber seal between the two doors.

A good example would be the Moroday 20mm x 3m D-Shape Rubber. One side is flat and has an adhesive backing and the other side is rounded like in capital "D" shape. The rubber seal would technically get squashed between the two doors and serve as a seal and prevent water from splashing out. This is of course on the condition that there is enough space for the rubber seal.

There are other sizes available, but I just wanted to present an alternative to the type of seal that you can use.

🙂 Well I just spent the last 15mins going down a rabbit hole of rubber seals for shower doors. Wooooo Glad there are a lot as I thought there wouldnt be many. Means there is a fair chance one that fits is out there for you!

My first thought was similar to @EricL 's and is potentially easier as its local and you can judge the different rubber seals and how close they may match up.

This is the search I did in google "rubber seal retrofit shower door" I cant really see the edge of your shower door from your photos or even the top down profile to help narrow the search. If you take a photo of the profile top down you may be able to do a reverse picture google on it and be lucky 🙂 Otherwise post it up here as someone may recognise the channel more so.

Perhaps you might also take a photo with a ruler next to it @nicise? It might help members and our resident Bunnings D.I.Y. experts suggest something you could try.
