How to replace shower drain?

How to replace shower drain?

In an attempt to remove the shower drain, so I can clean and unclog it, I ended up damaging the drain.

so I rushed to bunnings but I couldn't find the exact replacement. Perhaps this model is already phased out?

Can you anyone point me where I can find a replacement? or perhaps any suitable replacement that does not need to remove the casing?

Re: How to replace Shower Drain//grate?

Hello @will25

If you've been to the store, then all I can suggest is to get a waste cover that will temporarily cover the opening of your drain. Since the opening is around 77mm++ in size, I propose using the cover of the Kinetic 100mm Chrome Plated Round Floor Grate without the body. It might be possible that it will fit onto the hole. Another option is the Holman 100mm DWV PVC Round Floor Grate, its cover without the body might fit into your existing waste as well.

My other suggestion is contacting a 3D printing firm and have them duplicate the cover in a strong flexible plastic that can withstand people standing over it. The one other option is to engage the services of a plumber and have them remove the waste and replace it with a new one.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
