How to replace shower head over bath spraying water?

Hi, 

My current fixed shower head over my bath sprays water into the bathroom floor. 
I would like advice on replacing the showerhead to stop the water spraying  Would a head that angles out with overhead fitting work?

Thanks for sharing your question about your shower head. I can understand that standard shower heads often point towards you and not above you. If your current shower head has a hose, it's often quite convenient specially if you are washing the walls of your shower. I propose looking at the Estilo WELS 3 Star 9L/min Chrome 3 Function 1/2 Twin Rail Shower Set. It has both the rain shower head and the conventional shower head plus a diverter to switch between functions. 

Its installation is very similar to how a regular shower head is attached, where one part is screwed off and another screwed on. I suggest having a look at this guide - How to change a shower head. But if you prefer just a single shower head then the Revolution Chrome Self Cleaning Overhead Rain Shower And Arm WELS 3 Star 8L/min will work just as well.

The  clearance from the ceiling to the top of the current head is 33cm.  Would  either  of the heads you suggested fit? Is ceiling clearance needed?

If the current outlet of your shower wall is not outside the standard range, there should be more than enough space for the rain head shower to fit in. No ceiling clearance is needed for these shower sets. 

A quick way to find out if you have enough space is to measure from the wall outlet (not the shower head) to your ceiling. If you have more then 350mm the rain head showers fill fit. Just keep in mind that the rai head showers occupy a space of at least 321mm.

The 33cm is the wall measurement from the top of the wall fitting as in attached photo.

I can only go by the measurements the product gives me, if you are close to the store, I propose either getting the rain head shower and putting it up against your wall to see if there is enough space for it or you can bring a tape measure and place it against the arm of the rain head shower set. 

However, if the units I've suggested are too big you still have the option of building the rain shower head from scratch! I suggest using a Mondella 300mm Chrome Resonance Horizontal Shower Arm in combination with Mondella WELS 3 Star 9L/min Chrome Rococo Rectangular Rain Shower Head. There are longer arms, but you'll need to specially order them in.
