How to replace spa bath tap with hose sprayer?

I would like to replace this tap with a spray hose so I can clean the bath easier and bath the grandkids. Any suggestions

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @mumabear. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about replacing a bath spout.

The first thing to consider is that a spray hose releases far less water than a spout and also would not be directed into the bath. So, when you go to fill up the bath, that would cause problems. However, replacing the spout with something like the Estilo WELS 3 Star 9L/min Chrome 1 Function Hand Shower Set would be relatively easy.

What you'd probably want would be a Shaw & Mason Chrome Bath Spout With Diverter And Shower Kit. That will allow you to fill the bath with the spout and then switch to the handset when needed.

The other option, which could be a quick fix, is using an Estilo Push On Shower. This would allow you to pop it onto the existing spout when needed.

Hi @mumabear,

I wish I had a dollar for every time I got involved with that, for bathing dogs and where the bathtub is used for kitty litter trays.

Over the years the push on shower is the winner but... try to find a longer one.
