Hi all,
what do I need to buy (tools etc) to replace the tank and toilet seat. See photos.
1/2 is existing toilet. 3 is the product I want to buy.
I am a beginner. Any advice welcome!
Hello @Coco_M
Just a friendly reminder that any plumbing works must be carried out by a registered plumber for safety and compliance.
Disassembling and installing a cistern is not a beginner friendly D.I.Y project. If you've never done any plumbing before it would be best to leave this to the professionals as it could have unpredictable consequences if installed incorrectly. In regards to your choice of replacement cisterns, again it's best to consult your plumber as it might not be compatible with your older pan. Older toilet sets will sometimes require a larger cistern due to flushing requirements. A smaller cistern might not provide enough water to flush properly.

Hi @Coco_M,
I would encourage you to check out the Bunnings toilet installation offer. From just $275 Bunnings can help you replace your toilet.
Jason
Thanks, plumber said I could probably do it myself!
Hello @Coco_M
I propose searching for some guides on the internet to give you an idea of how the process of replacement is done. You will need multi grip pliers, plumber's tape, Philips screwdriver, long nose pliers, disposable latex gloves, goggles and a mask. I propose looking at the Stylus Allegro Plastic Cistern WELS 3 Star 6L/Full as a possible candidate to replace your cistern.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Thanks @EricL
Does the model you recommend come with a soft close seat too?
Do you have the dimensions of the cistern please?
The Stylusl Allegro Plastic Cistern WELS 3 Star 6L/Full comes with a standard seat @Coco_M. For soft-close, you might want to go with the Estilo White Replacement Cistern With Seat WELS 3 Star 6L/Full. I have 420mm (W) x 375mm (H) for the Allegro, but you might like to have our team instore check the exact measurements, if you're concerned of it contacting something.

Hello @Coco_M
I propose using a Trojan 300mm Tubular Hack Saw as it will not damage the plastic edge too severely when compared to using a handsaw. Please note that it will still need to be sanded to remove the plastic swarf that will be left behind.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
