After completing my silicin re-seal I've found a light but noticeable scratch on a section of wall tile. Its light, as in my finger nail doesnt feel it
when scratched, but I wanted to see how I could seal it. Ive used clear and white wet area Selleys and nothing seems to fill it/stick to it.
What am I missing, or am I waisting my time? Scartch seems to go behind the silicon in the joint.
Hi @Msteain,
It looks like it is just a light scratch in the glaze on the outside of the tile. Functionally, I doubt any water can pass through it, so it really is just an aesthetic issue.
If you could put up with it, I don't think there's any issues that would arise from it, but if you can't stand looking at it, which I completely understand, I'd suggest using this Rust-Oleum 13.3ml White Tub And Tile Touch Up Kit.
It is a two part epoxy acrylic formula that is white in colour and perfect for wet areas. You could apply it to the crack to both seal and cover it for aesthetics.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
