Hi the tap for my bathroom keeps falling off. I purchased the kinetic spout &handle repair kit. The c clip fits however when going to screw the tap back on it doesn’t seem to tighten or lock in.
Hello @cha1
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your tap handle.
This is a hidden tap fixing that has certain steps that need to be followed in order to re-install it. I suggest having a look at this discussion - Solved: How to remove leaking laundry tap handle - Page 2. The re-assembly guide should help you put the tap handle back to working order. You will need a Kinetic Spout And Handle Repair Kit and use the flat blade tool to screw the hidden brass nut back into place.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Hi Eric
Thank you for your advice. I’ve tried following re-assembly guide however I’m still finding that the hidden nut back does not screw in. Could it be that the c clip (horse shoe clip) needs to be smaller? it fits the current groove the tap just doesn’t screw on. Should the c-cli p sit in the small inner circle or on the top?
Hello @cha1
If you look at your handle you will see a brass piece with two notches inside your handle. This brass piece must be removed first as this is the original hidden nut which is still attached to the handle. Once you have removed this part and re-assemble it following the guide the handle will stay in place. No parts must be inside the handle in order for it to work.
Please give it another try and let me know if it works.
