Towel rail hack

Here is a little hack we have used to make what we think is quite a cute hand towel rail.

Using only the following:

- Tasmanian oak doweling

- Curtain rod brackets

- Sand paper

- Estapol varnish

Re: Towel rail hack

Hello @DIYgals

Thank you so much for sharing this handy method of making a custom-sized towel rail. My favourite part about this setup is that you can make it go in the other direction. From very short to very long. Classical bathroom design used to have these along the wall and that's where all the towels were hung out to dry.

I think it's one of the most practical things you can have in your bathroom as the towels would be beside one another and not on top of one another. Most modern towel rails are either single rail style or double rail. They also come in ladder form which makes hanging multiple towels difficult.

Again, thank you so much for sharing this wonderful idea.

Eric
