What adhesive for moisture sensitive natural marble tile?

Hi - I wanted to ask if you could please recommend an adhesive stocked at Bunnings to use for natural marble tiles that are moisture sensitive?

When I search online it generally returns the Davco SMP adhesive, which states it is specifically designed for stone and marble, yet it is still a cement based adhesive that requires water mixing which from what I’ve read should be avoided for moisture sensitive marble.

Thank you for your question. I spoke with the team at Ardex, who are one of our main suppliers for tile adhesives and tile-related products.

Unfortunately, there is no one solution because of a number of variables that come into play.

Their recommendation was to give their technical support line a call on 1800 224 070, so you can let them know the specifics of both the stone and the context of the install. 

They will be able to advise on products and a method of installation that will ensure your marble tiles are installed safely and will not change colour in reaction to moisture.

They may recommend products that are not kept in stock, but please know that we can order their broader range through our Special Orders desk.
