Hello
I would like to replace my existing old bathroom fan / light (1st photo) mainly because it allows in insects and I'd also prefer LED lighting and a more modern look. My electrician has told me that my existing cut out size is 32 X 24 cm and apparently this has been a difficult size to match with compatible 2 in 1 fans. (I said I didn't need heating lamps.)
The only stipulations I made was that the fan had to have a draft stopper (for insects) and that I didn't want to have to get in a plasterer / painter to have to come in & patch up the ceiling if the new cut out was smaller.
He'd like me to get the Voltex 3 in 1 (2nd photo) but it's expensive, at over $500 incl labour, which is a lot more than I was willing to spend. The electrician said he was unable to find a 2 in 1 exhaust fan any bigger than a 300mm cut out. The Voltex is probably the cheapest option so far if I want a new fan without getting in a plasterer.
Are my options limited to this expensive fan then? Does anyone have any suggestions for a cheaper fan that would suit this larger cut out?
Thanks for your help.

Hello @LorenClayton
I suggest having a look at the IXL Tastic Easy Duct Triumph 3 In 1 Bathroom Heat Fan Light. I understand the conditions you've laid out, but I believe this is the only one that will fit into the existing hole, can be ducted which means that a draft stopper such as the Kensington Inline Draft Blocker - 150mm or the Blauberg 150mm Inline Backdraft Damper can be installed along the ducting. The vent at the other end can be modified to be covered with mozzie mesh to prevent insects from coming in.
