What cement board adhesive?

Hello Community,

I am currently renovating the laundry and have installed flooring over the floor joists what is the best adhesive to use for cement boards that will be installed over the flooring along with fibre cement screws?

Hi @rick6947,

It's important to follow the installation guide for the particular product you are using. Would you be able to let us know what that is and what type of flooring you installed over the joists? If it's James Hardie's Tile underlay, then an acrylic stud adhesive is the recommended adhesive for cement board to structural particleboard flooring.

Hello Mitchell,

You are correct the cement sheeting is the james hardie tile underlay and the flooring is pine tongue in groove boards.
