Just moved in to a new apartment with the grossest shower ever - I want to replace it but have to order online because of my schedule! Any advise on what I should replace with would be appreciated!

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fabulous to have you join us.
You would have to look at a standalone showerhead with no rail and there doesn't seem to be much space between the pipe connection and the ceiling, so we'll have to factor that in.
I'd suggest one of the following options -

Thank you!! Do you think I will need to replace the connection to wall as it’s rusty? Or will I risk messing up more 🙂
The rusty part is a cover flange that came with the old shower head and should be removed when replacing the unit. Each of the products Eric suggested above comes with a new cover flange to suit them—no need to purchase separately.
