What laundry plumbing configuration suits a benchtop?

I'd like to ask about laundry plumbing. I'm renovating my laundry and I have asked a plumber to change the old wall mount laundry water inlet to an underside configuration and installing new cabinets/benchtop. My old laundry sink had the drain waste pipe from above. But now I have a benchtop, what's the best configuration of plumbing the washing machine waste drain to the sink drain? Does it have to be a specific height above the connection point to the sink drain pipe? And would an aerator be required for the pipe?

It's great to see your laundry renovation taking shape. Your washing machine's drain hose has to be at a certain height to prevent auto siphoning. Please refer to your washing machine manual to determine where you need to drill into your cabinet wall. Once you've drilled at the proper height the drain hose will pass through the hole and then connect to your waste pipe.

The typical waste pipe used is the Caroma 50mm White Combination S And P Traps With Dishwasher Connection. But your plumber may decide to use something more compact. But what is important is the dishwasher connector, it must be pre-drilled before linking the waste pipe of your washing machine. Please remember to use a Toledo 14-27mm Perforated Clamp Hose Fit or similar to make sure the wate pipe does not pull out.
