What to do with un-tiled area?

What to do with un-tiled area?

Recently pulled out an old sink/trough from the laundry and will be replacing the area by installing cupboards however there was no tile where the sink was. I have no idea where the current tiles are from - wanting suggestions for what to do here, should I just concrete this one spot and make it level to the rest of the tiles considering a cupboard will go over it?

Re: What to do with un-tiled area?

Hi @aleisha159910,

Thank you for your question.

Considering the plan is to cover this spot with cupboards so it doesn't need to match the tiles, I think the simplest and easiest option would be to use some Dunlop Ardit Rapidset Repair Mortar to fill the void level with the tiles.

You can use a Trowel to apply, smooth and level the mortar.

Once dry, it will be a suitably strong base for your laundry cupboards to sit on that is level with the tiles.

Let me know what you think and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
