Painting vanity cabinet

Question

Hi this will be my first painting project and I needed some advice on painting this vanity cabinet into black. I am concerned about some wood crack/ lumps due to water damage. Any advice regarding what I need to get and paint and steps is appreciated.

I would recommend you start by checking out some of the great examples of cabinet makeovers that members have shared using the relatively new Dulux Renovation range. There are some fantastic projects in this discussion - Painting kitchen cabinet doors - Dulux Renovator range, including handiwork by @stevem, @Ari and @newbie23.
