When should you feed the lawn?

Lawn.jpegYou can feed your lawn from early spring (right as the weather is warming up) as well as throughout summer and autumn. Regular fertilisation keeps your lawn healthy, resistant to weather extremes, weeds and insect attacks. Using a slow-release, granule-based fertiliser like Scotts Lawn Builder is a great way to ensure your lawn gets the right amount of nutrients when it needs it. - MitchellMc

Some buffalo lawns are prone to going a bit brown over winter in a colder climate - they naturally go dormant. But if it's a healthy lawn before winter arrives it's less likely. Do fertilise regularly and make sure it includes trace elements but also make sure you don't use too much. During the colder months you'll want to look for a winter fertiliser, and then use something again in the spring. - Mick
