A sliding barn door and coloured timber feature wall created using fence palings and pickets.
I made a feature wall in my office using fence palings and a barn door from palings and pickets. The sliding barn door was easy to put together.
I coloured some of the planks for the feature wall. After painting the wall black, I used a nail gun to attach the timber to the wall. I used two 20 cent coins as spacers to keep the gaps even.
Please be aware that palings are often chemically treated. When used inside the home, the Bunnings team would recommend painting or using non-treated timber palings.
Bunnings Workshop member LePallet used Silver Top timber to build these eye-catching 2m-wide doors and found hanging the door tracks was not difficult.
To shield a living room from harsh afternoon sun, Workshop member Jwyatt used seven Pine lining boards to construct this barn door and hung it using a Rolltrak track kit.
