This clever and inexpensive cabinet and bench-space project makes great use of a tricky alcove and an old kitchen.

The project

I'd had many quotes and much professional advice on what to do with the alcove where the former fuel burner stove sat. Most said "Just cover it" or quoted thousands to do the work.

My son and I bought three Acacia benchtops and some Kaboodle cabinet legs. I am a chef, and with my son doing the work for me he understood exactly what I wanted. The total cost was about $450. So happy with the outcome.

Absolutly Love it! Its a functional kitchen without extra stuff that is NOT needed! I have had so many thoughts of doing a kitchen this way. The closest I have come is to actually use the steel tool draws from Bunnings and then top them as you have done  Brilliant reno!
