I’ve been building this dollhouse for six months or so. I spent many hours on it, but it was a therapeutic and really enjoyable process.
I designed the dollhouse myself and built it using MDF boards. I didn’t begin with a full plan. Just had an idea and started from the bottom floor and worked my way up.
I used stick-on vinyl tiles for the flooring and contact for the walls, all from Bunnings. I used Balsa wood of different sizes for the skirting boards, panelling and roof tiles, which I found in the craft section at Bunnings.
I purchased the door frames, front windows, battery-powered lights, staircase and railing, as well as most of the furniture and accessories.
I’ve also had a little plaque made for the back with a handwritten note from me to my kids as I hope this is something they will treasure and pass down to their kids one day.

Jesstransformed this old dollhouse using leftover craft pieces she had at home. She made the washing machine and a shelf using wooden blocks from the kids toy room, glued fabric for the floor and painted tiles on the roof.
